Construction Update
Arena Addition
-
Trenching and utility work is ongoing in the southwest portion of the parking lot.
-
A large crane was mobilized on site to position heavy steel components.
-
Welders are installing connection tabs on large trusses.
-
Masonry work continues throughout the project, with a focus on walls surrounding the Main Lobby.
-
Mezzanine decking installation has not yet begun but is anticipated to start soon.
-
Electrical rough-in work is ongoing, with good progress noted on underslab installations.
-
Gravel fill has been installed in multiple rooms along the north side of the building.
Curling Addition
8. Following completion of footing pours along the lower-elevation west exterior wall, masons were preparing to begin CMU installation.
9. Demolished paving materials have been stockpiled in the north/northwest portion of the site.
10. Structures at the northwest corner of the site appear complete, with surrounding grades adjusted.
11. Fill placement and compaction continue at the south end of the site to build up the higher elevation areas.

Arena Construction Update
Things are moving along quickly at the site!
-
The new locker room walls are going up fast, already about two feet above the addition.
-
Crews are setting block and steel supports in the northwest corner.
-
Work continues at the south end with fill material and footing prep for the arena’s foundation.
-
At the north end, the framing for the future ice pit is underway.
-
Over at the Curling Addition, the topsoil work is finished, and crews are checking utility lines—one mystery line is being investigated to see if it’s still active.

Stormwater structures have arrived, and the new water vault on the northwest corner is being installed and connected to the main line.

MORE GROUND WORK!

North sidewalk is removed and graded; utility lines are in place near the west drive.

Groundwork is done for both the arena and curling additions.
-
Old stormwater pipes under the arena area are being taken out.
THe process begins!
Fences are up and earthwork has begun on the expansion!
